“Its the cool of the evening the suns goin down,
I want to hold you in my Arms I want to push you around,
I want to break your bottle and spill out all Your charms,
come on baby well set off all the burglar alarms,
goin downtown, Down downtown.” Tom Waits

William ‘Grohl’ Harden exhibits new paintings at Black and Blue gallery opening Thurs night. Grohl as he is lovingly known has been painting in his own unique style for over 3years now and has exhibited twice at China Heights as well as in multiple group shows. He has developed such a strong style with evocative colours and obscure imagery. This is sure to be his most sophisticated exhibition yet, and he himself is bound to looking beautiful flamboyant.

“Adelaide is generally known as a quiet, conservative city where not much happens. But behind this peaceful façade there is a darker reputation: one of a macabre place where strange crimes routinely occur. Adelaide, 1966-1999 is an exhibition of photographs by Andrew Cowen. Taken in and around Adelaide, the photographs are of places relating to the abductions and murders which have contributed to Adelaide’s infamy.
Beyond the morbid fascination of the subject matter, the images
themselves convey an eeriness which is compellingly beautiful and strangely moving.”
