DOBRY DEN DIGS FILM

"Nothing is original.Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don't bother concealing your thievery-celebrate it if you feel like it.In any case, always remember what Jean- Luc Goddard said: "it's not where you take things from - its where you take them to."
Jim Jarmusch

We dig film,we do its true, and we like it best when it’s free and snapped into bite size bits and put on loop for our goldfish like minds.
To feed this desire we’re asking for submissions for our nightly Dobry Den screenings. After the day is done and the lights switched off the doors closed on rolls the projector.
We are welcoming films of any nature and length from budding and experienced film types to send us work they are keen to have seen.
It can be of any nature, film-clips, short films, animation, collated stills, blatant self promotion, even your favourite you tubes.....
Absolutely anything that can be turned into DVD! Just to keep in mind that this is a silent operation, and needs also to be relatively non-offensive for public view.
We are open to all ides, with films screening after 6pm - 3am nightly. You can pull up the bus stop seat and enjoy or just cop a flash driving past!
Each film that gets shown we'll also run a bio about on our window, blog and do our utmost to help promote them.
We can be contacted at shop@dobryden.com.au for more info.
